Answer the searches that follow a diagnosis

A diagnosis turns a household into searchers overnight. Patient support and mental-health organizations exist for those searches, and the grant lets you answer at a scale few could fund on their own.

Is this page about your organization?

Written for

  • Disease awareness and patient advocacy groups
  • Patient and caregiver support networks
  • Mental-health nonprofits and helplines
  • Condition-specific charities

What you need in place

  • A registered nonprofit in the EU, US, UK, Canada, Australia or Switzerland.
  • A working website that people can act on: donate, sign up, apply, book or get in touch.
  • At least one of those actions worth measuring.

Hospitals and healthcare organizations, schools and universities, and government entities are excluded by Google. Organizations without a functioning, converting website are excluded by AdGranted, because the campaigns would have nowhere to send people.

How patient advocacy uses the grant

The questions arrive before the appointments do

“What happens after the diagnosis”, “is this normal”, “support group for caregivers”: health searches run through the night, in everyday words, from people who have not found any organization yet. At that hour, search is often the only door open.

Honest wording matters more than reach

Google applies extra rules to advertising around health, and the results near a diagnosis are full of claims that do not hold up. If you run moderated communities, a staffed helpline and real programs, your pages belong in that result. Campaign work here means the right query landing on the exact program page, with nothing implied that your organization cannot do.

Helpline calls, registrations and downloads each count

A helpline call, a seat in a support group and a caregiver guide downloaded at two in the morning are each counted as their own conversion, so you can see which searches the people you serve arrive through.

Who pays for what

Google provides the grant

$10,000.

Up to this much a month in Google search advertising credit.

Google provides the credit and makes the approval decision. How much of it your campaigns use depends on search demand, your website and how relevant the campaigns are.

AdGranted provides the launch

One-time, excl. VAT, for AdGranted Launch.

Eligibility and website review, application and activation support, campaign strategy and build, conversion tracking and a reporting dashboard, launch, 30-Day Launch Stabilization and handover.

Your organization

Provides the information and access, completes Google’s verification, makes the website changes the review asks for, confirms the facts, and gives the go-ahead before any campaign runs.

After handover you can manage the account yourself or continue with Ongoing Grant Management for €300/month, excl. VAT.

ALSO ASKED · HEALTH

01Are hospitals and healthcare organizations eligible?

Usually not: hospitals, medical groups and healthcare providers sit in an excluded category alongside government bodies and academic institutions. The same structural exception applies: a hospital's separately registered charitable foundation is assessed on its own footing rather than being ruled out by association. Where a case is genuinely ambiguous we escalate it, and Google makes the final call either way.

02Do the normal Google Ads policies apply to us as well?

Yes. The Ad Grants rules sit on top of standard Google Ads policy, not instead of it. Advertising destinations must satisfy the current Ad Grants website policy and the applicable Google Ads destination requirements, and your organization must own or control the domains the account advertises to. An ad that would be disapproved for a paying advertiser is disapproved for a grant account too.

03What about cookie consent?

Consent Mode is configured where it is required, so tracking behaves correctly against your banner. If you need a consent platform installed or replaced, that is a €120 add-on per domain, excl. VAT. What we do not do is tell you which consent model your organization is legally required to run: the configuration follows what your lawyers decide.

Seven paths through Google Ad Grants. Find yours.

The free quiz asks about your organization, your website, and where the grant stands today. It then names the path that fits: a straight launch, website work first, a stuck application to unblock, an active account to improve, a suspended one to assess, a self-managed route, or groundwork before any of it.
